Our Goals

1. Our Commitment to Clients:  

We aim to provide clients with professional, timely, and efficient legal services and advice at a fair and competitive price. We aim to be friendly, courteous and approachable in our service to you. 

We aim to keep clients informed of their legal matters and to ensure that the client directs and instructs us clearly in what the client wishes our office to do: we work with clients. 

2. Our Commitment to Provide a Professional Legal Service 

We do not take on cases that are not true or have little merit. We try to clearly explain exactly the legal issues involved in each case so that clients are fully informed. 

When we take on a case we try to clearly explain what work we do and what work clients are required to do. We do this by talking with clients and also in written form. 

We aim to provide a thorough and high-level service: for example we encourage a wide range of property enquires prior to exchange of contracts and after exchange of contracts to ensure that the client is fully protected. As another example: in immigration matters we prepare detailed statements to support the evidence in the case so that the client's situation is fully explained and we also research problem cases. 

3. Our Commitment to Provide an Accessible Legal Service 

Our office is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Saturday we are open from 9a.m. to 2 p.m. 

We are able to provide legal services in Vietnamese language. We have 4 Vietnamese-speaking lawyers and also three Vietnamese law students as paralegals. 

We are able to arrange interpreters for other language groups such as Chinese and Khmer. 

We operate also on a flat fee structure so that it is clear the costs that a client is required to pay on each matter. Our costs are highly competitive and affordable as we believe strongly that clients should be able to afford legal services. 

4. Our Commitment to Community Service 

Janice Vu & Associates also has a commitment to community service. As such our first consultation is free. We have a referral system to assist referrals to services that we do not provide.
